ELD Enforcement Deadline Extended
The Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators (CCMTA) announced that they will support 'progressive enforcement' of the June 12, 2021 ELD Mandate deadline till June 12, 2022: (CCMTA ELD Enforcement)
This enforcement strategy reflects the implementation delays that have occurred due to the pandemic and the slow ELD certification process. Through the one year period, provincial transport enforcement agencies will not issue penalties for ELD compliance failures. They will focus on education and awareness.
