✅ Transport Canada ELD Mandate Announcement
On June 13, 2019, Transport Canada announced that ELDs will become mandatory June 2021. The 2 year lead time is required to allow ELD systems to be 3rd party certified, as well as time for carriers with AOBRDs to transition to ELDs.
There will be no grandfathering of AOBRDS, as we saw in the USA.
For the actual revised HOS regulations here is the Government of Canada Gazette 2: Canada HOS Revised Regulations
We will keep you up-to-date on further developments.
